Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Community and Social Services Worker to join our team at Winder Inclusive Communities Service. As a Community and Social Services Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and services to individuals and families in need, promoting social inclusion and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and services to individuals and families in need, including case management, counseling, and advocacy.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the needs of clients, including goal setting and progress monitoring.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive services and support.
  • Conduct home visits and assessments to identify client needs and develop plans to address them.
  • Provide education and support to clients on topics such as budgeting, employment, and life skills.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, including client files and statistical data.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, or counseling.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, including children, youth, and families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
