We are in search of trustworthy, diligent, and dependable housekeeping support agents to ensure the smooth operation of Sonder. Our houseperson plays a vital role in assisting the housekeeping team, ensuring they are well-equipped to work efficiently, thus guaranteeing a top-notch experience for every guest.
The Opportunity:
- Manage housekeeping supplies, including linens and terry cloths.
- Prepare kits and conduct inventory of housekeeping materials.
- Deliver linens and consumable kits to guest units or storage areas across the city.
- Collect soiled linens from guest units or storage areas.
- Organize and stock various storage areas throughout the city.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks daily, such as changing light bulbs, clearing drains, replacing batteries (for door locks, remotes, thermostats), checking furniture, and changing air and water filters.
- Report maintenance issues and items requiring repair.
- Execute deep cleaning tasks, including moving furniture, flipping mattresses, and high dusting.
- Ensure cleanliness of lobbies, office spaces, guest hallways, fitness centers, elevators, public restrooms, parking garages, stairwells, loading docks, and back-of-house areas in accordance with Sonder standards.
- Undertake special projects or assignments as needed.
- Utilize mobile technology to communicate with the team and report progress.
Who We Look For:
- A professional with a positive outlook, capable of working effectively both in a team and independently.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or inventory management is preferred.
- Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, particularly mobile applications, to enhance job processes and communicate work progress.
- Physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to reach, kneel, and bend.
- Flexibility in scheduling, with openness to working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Capability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation is essential, with a willingness to travel between properties daily.
