About the Role

Remcan Projects LP is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team as a key member of our maintenance and construction services team. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our diverse fleet of equipment based out of our Prince George shop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shop Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operation of the shop, prioritizing and assigning work as required, including deployment of mobile field HDMs.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor apprentices assigned to location, ensuring they receive the necessary training and support to excel in their roles.
  • Safety and Compliance: Complete daily safety briefings, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance on various equipment, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair all types of equipment, including heavy machinery and emergency repairs.
  • Reporting and Administration: Complete work orders and equipment log books accurately, and source parts and supplies when necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Work individually as well as in a team environment, assisting with other duties as required.
