Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Namaste India Restaurant and Bar. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of 3-4 staff members who prepare and portion food.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Operations Management
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive excellent service and that their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates for food and supplies.
    • Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff members are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
    • Standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
    • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

Hours: 32 to 35 hours per week. Work Term: Permanent. Work Language: English.
