About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Apartment Building Maintenance Professional to join our team at Le Citadin 2022 I.N.C. as a Residential Caretaker. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our apartment buildings, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent odors and pests
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and well-maintained appearance
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Perform safety and security checks to ensure the building is secure and safe
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies to maintain a well-organized and efficient workspace
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair to maintain the building's appearance
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to maintain a pleasant and welcoming environment
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Work with minimal supervision to demonstrate independence and self-motivation
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to the building
Requirements
  • Sanitation and hygiene experience is essential for this role
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks and heavy lifting
  • Excellent oral communication skills to effectively interact with residents and colleagues
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Judgement to make decisions and take initiative in maintaining the building
  • Organized to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
