Job Title: Apartment Building Caretaker

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Apartment Building Caretaker to join our team at Le Citadin 2022 I.N.C. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our apartment buildings, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs; operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt; empty trash cans and other waste containers; wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems; contact tradespersons for major repairs; perform minor repairs on appliances.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens; clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Other Duties: Perform safety and security checks; move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies; clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Urban area, retirement home.
  • Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. They will be required to work 30 to 40 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime.
