Job Title: Marine Works Lead

About the Opportunity:

Aecon Nuclear has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP). As part of this project, we are seeking a highly skilled Marine Works Lead to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate project work with the Alliance Partner to ensure collective focus on execution goals and tracking/completion of all actions and deliverables across all work groups.
  • Lead technical discussions with Engineering and Subcontractors to develop final design and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain the overall sequence of design to construction, ensuring accuracy from design release package to construction.
  • Develop Method Statements and construction packages.
  • Implement Action/Recovery Plans to address any schedule performance issues.
  • Validate and monitor project metrics (Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule) for assigned work segments.
  • Proactively manage risk and mitigation across the board of Partner.
  • Identify and report any resource constraints impacting planned work.
  • Identify and mitigate any potential changes to Work between the partner per the project change management procedure.
  • Ensure all required materials and services have been identified and ordered, as well as any material delivery risks identified, and action/recovery plans assigned.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary university or college technical degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years Project Management experience in a related role.
  • Previous experience with marine, coastal or offshore works required.
  • Able to lead technical discussions with specialty Subcontractors and provincial stakeholders for permits and design approval.
  • Past experience with shoring, diaphragm, cutoff walls preferred.
  • Must have the ability to handle all matters in a confidential and professional manner.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and customer relationship skills.
  • Great team coordination and 'work together' mind set.
  • Extensive knowledge of project execution, financial operations, estimating and employee relations required.
  • Requires proficient business development skills and an operations background.
