We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Guidance Services to join our team at Native Counselling Services of Alberta.
Job Summary:The Director of Guidance Services will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of social and community service programs, hiring and training professional and non-professional staff, and administering programs of membership organizations.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate the delivery of social and community service programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Hire and provide training for professional and non-professional staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Administer programs of membership organizations, including planning, budgeting, and evaluating program effectiveness.
- Participate in policy development by preparing reports and briefs for management committees and working groups.
- Plan, administer, and control budgets for projects, programs, support services, and equipment.
- Provide coaching and guidance to staff to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a social services or community organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
