About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Laundry Assistant to join our team at D&H Laundry. As a Laundry Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of laundry services for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and Add Chemicals: Mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals to ensure optimal cleaning results.
  • Laundry Processing: Hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles, and operate finishing equipment such as steam pressers to finish pants, jackets, shirts, skirts, and other dry-cleaned and laundered articles.
  • Quality Control: Check finished dry-cleaned or laundered articles to ensure that establishment standards are met, and use hand-held steam irons to touch up finished garments and other articles.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our laundry services.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail in all aspects of laundry processing to ensure high-quality results.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines to meet.
  • Handling Heavy Loads: Handle heavy loads of laundry and equipment with ease and efficiency.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks with minimal fatigue and maintain productivity.
Personal Qualities and Experience
  • Client Focus: Demonstrate a strong client focus and commitment to providing excellent service.
  • Team Player: Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a laundry or related field is an asset, but not required.
