Job Summary

The Health and Safety Intern will play a key role in supporting the health and safety initiatives at GROWMARK, Inc. This position will assist in various projects related to health and safety at all business locations in Ontario.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site inspections to identify and evaluate occupational health, safety, and hazardous environmental conditions.
  • Assist in auditing physical conditions and safe work practices to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Stay current with trends and changes to health and safety legislations and standards.
  • Research and recommend technology and relevant trends related to safety matters.
  • Review Safety Data Sheets database for Canada to ensure compliance with inventory products.
  • Assist with tracking and filing of Health & Safety related licenses and training records.
  • Participate in health & safety meetings.
Requirements
  • Completing 3rd year of BA in a related field, 2-year college candidates may be considered if minimum qualifications are met.
  • Must be 18 years of age with a full G driving license to drive a company vehicle, along with the ability to travel independently.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and may involve moderate to occasionally high mental stress increases when dealing with incidents.

Additional hours, or time outside of the normal business hours, may be necessary due to operational requirements.

Requires time to be spent both in office and at the branches. Traveling will be required.
