Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at GROWMARK, Inc. As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive health and safety program, including training and awareness initiatives, to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop and implement safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date on the latest health and safety trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure our organization remains at the forefront of safety and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports related to health and safety, including incident reports, training records, and compliance documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed. Travel may be required to attend training sessions, meetings, and site visits.
