Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Clerk is a key member of the Shared Health team, responsible for providing administrative support to the Diagnostic Imaging department. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and processing requisitions for diagnostic imaging examinations
  • Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
  • Registering patients and updating their information in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Retrieving and filing digital images and films
  • Providing images and reports to physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Performing other related administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or recognized equivalent
  • Previous experience in a medical administrative role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Strong keyboarding skills (35 wpm) and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with Radiology Information Systems (RIS)
  • Medical terminology knowledge
  • Experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting
Working Conditions

The Diagnostic Imaging Clerk will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions. The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively is essential.
