Manufacturing Financial Controller
The Manufacturing Financial Controller is tasked with overseeing the financial and accounting operations of a production facility. This role involves providing strategic business insights and financial support as an integral member of the leadership team. Key financial responsibilities encompass the development of proficient accounting and analytical teams, ensuring the precision of monthly financial outcomes, conducting financial assessments, supervising financial reporting and system integration, managing capital expenditures and analyses, as well as preparing and scrutinizing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts while establishing robust internal control systems.
Position Hours: Onsite Monday - Thursday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. Fridays work from home for 7:00 am to 11:00 am.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis – 50%
- Direct and manage the financial accounting functions of the plant in alignment with corporate and financial group policies and objectives.
- Provide comprehensive analysis of actual financial results to the Group Controller and management teams.
- Counsel non-financial plant management on accounting matters and expense oversight.
- Facilitate alignment in forecasting and enhance forecasting accuracy.
- Evaluate and optimize cost structures and manufacturing variances.
Business Strategy – 30%
- Lead and direct strategic planning for sustainable growth.
- Develop the annual financial plan for the organization.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify operational enhancements.
- Conduct financial evaluations for vendor acquisitions and capital initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
- Over 10 years of experience in finance and/or accounting, focusing on financial reporting, analysis, and managing finance processes.
- Experience within the Manufacturing sector is essential.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel is required.
Skills and Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of Cost Accounting, with expertise in financial analysis and forecasting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis tools, and process optimization.
- Effective project management capabilities.
- Ability to influence business partners and ensure adherence to financial standards.
