Welding Technician Role Overview

As a key member of our team at Leostar Development Group Inc., the Welding Technician will engage in various essential tasks that contribute to our metal fabrication projects. This position requires a strong commitment to quality and safety in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in welding is preferred.
Work Environment

The role involves working outdoors and may include exposure to various conditions such as heat, noise, and dust. Candidates should be prepared for a physically demanding job that requires manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and apply welding process specifications accurately.
  • Operate both manual and automated welding machinery.
  • Read and analyze welding blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Inspect welds to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize flame-cutting equipment and metal shaping machines effectively.
  • Fit, braze, and straighten metal components as necessary.
  • Assess the weldability of various materials.
  • Handle hoisting and lifting equipment safely.
  • Fabricate or repair metal components to meet project specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment.
Physical Requirements

Candidates must be capable of lifting weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and must possess the physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
