Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Dollarama L.P./S.E.C. as a key member of our retail operations team.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Manage Staff: Lead and motivate a team of 11-15 employees, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and store operations.
- Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively allocate tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient store operations and maximize sales.
- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop staff to meet the needs of the store and support the growth of the team.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and minimize labor costs.
- Sell Merchandise: Provide excellent customer service and promote sales of merchandise to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Organize and Maintain Inventory: Ensure accurate and efficient inventory management to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the activities of staff, including payroll administration, performance reviews, and employee development.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail management role or equivalent experience.
This is a fast-paced retail environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure, handle heavy loads, and maintain attention to detail.
