About the Role

Fenix Construction and Labour Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and measure surfaces to be covered with tiles
  • Mix and apply adhesives, mortars, and grouts to ensure a strong bond between tiles and surfaces
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to secure them to the base
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a uniform and aesthetically pleasing finish
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout to achieve a clean and professional finish
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles to maintain the integrity of the installation
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs
  • Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets to support tile installations
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite tiles to meet client specifications
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces to achieve a durable and long-lasting finish
  • Install tile strips to create a seamless and professional finish
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in tile setting or a related field
  • Equivalent experience in a related field may be considered
  • Own vehicle for transportation to various job sites
Work Environment

Fenix Construction and Labour Services Inc. is a physically demanding work environment that requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling. The work site environment is dusty, and the work setting is varied, with multiple locations and projects.
