Role Summary

What is the opportunity?

This position is pivotal in steering and implementing the strategic vision for the Foreign Exchange (FX) and Foreign Currency Account (FCA) portfolio. The role involves comprehending client requirements, optimizing pricing structures, fees, and overall profitability, while enhancing our competitive stance in the FX and FCA sectors. The individual will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across various departments to ensure comprehensive management of essential products. Monitoring and managing profit and loss (P&L) performance, pricing strategies, and operational efficiency are also critical components of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects related to the management of FX and FCA elements within our primary payment offerings, including business performance metrics, reporting, and P&L oversight.
  • Drive and implement the comprehensive strategy for FX and FCA portfolios aimed at boosting revenues, minimizing costs, and increasing transaction volumes:
    • The strategy encompasses customer insights, value propositions, distribution channels, competitive analysis, macroeconomic influences, product innovation, marketing, pricing structures, and profitability considerations.
    • Engage with partners across various sectors to influence the design, development, and execution of strategies, processes, policies, and reporting mechanisms that align with product strategy.
  • Formulate financial business cases and analyses for adjustments in spreads and other business model transformations.
  • Guide strategies and plans through to execution, ensuring that key initiatives are realized and adapted to evolving market conditions.
  • Provide essential insights for product performance challenges, system modifications, and upgrades.
  • Manage business risks, remediation efforts, reputational risks, and compliance with legislation in collaboration with legal and risk management teams.
  • Foster relationships with both external and internal partners.
  • Stay informed on economic trends, daily FX forecasts, and competitor movements to effectively manage product implications.
