Technical Solutions Consultant I
The Technical Solutions Consultant I is a role centered on technical expertise, with a comprehensive understanding of IT solutions and insights into the performance and analytics sector. This position collaborates closely with sales and technical teams to deliver hands-on project designs, demonstrations, and proof of concepts (POCs). It encompasses the necessary pre-sales engagement throughout the various stages of the sales cycle. This role is client-facing, necessitating exceptional communication skills and the capability to engage with senior executives in prospective accounts worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate client needs while conducting gap/fit analyses against potential solutions.
- Inform clients, prospective clients, and colleagues about the scope, features, and functionalities of our solutions, including the creation and facilitation of presentations and demonstrations.
- Support the sales team in preparing bids and proposals for new clients, offering a technical viewpoint and advice on the appropriateness of solutions for each client.
- Collaborate with other technical resources to provide a comprehensive understanding when necessary.
- Assist the sales team in executing and managing POCs and proofs of value (POVs).
- Keep abreast of the latest features and roadmap of our core offerings and related products.
- Act as a consultant for customers and partners to ensure successful implementations and ongoing support.
- Maintain a current understanding of emerging technology trends.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- Experience with enterprise IT infrastructure is essential.
- A solid grasp of IT fundamentals and principles, with the ability to apply that knowledge across a wide range of equipment and vendors.
- Highly organized and capable of maintaining focus under pressure.
- Aptitude for addressing complex challenges and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with team members and clients.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows is required.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in project management or delivery as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A technical background in IT field services is preferred.
Travel Requirements:
- Approximately 20% travel may be required.
Collaboration with Sales and Delivery Teams:
This role will work alongside the Sales Team and Delivery Organizations. In partnership with the engineering team, you will create and develop precise solution designs and realistic cost estimates for proposals during the pre-sales phase.
Additional Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with engineering teams, draft complex statements of work that focus on financial aspects, resource allocations, technical accuracy, and effort levels for both the Project Management Office (PMO) and Field Engineers for our clients.
- Engage in discovery sessions with clients and assist in both internal and external collaborative sessions.
- Construct financial plans and budgets that align with the business expectations of sustainable deals.
- Develop transition plans, customizations, and preliminary project plans for the Park Place Project Management Tool.
- Design, document, and communicate solution proposals to clients and internal stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the IT Networks field.
- A strong understanding of networking fundamentals and principles, including data centers, cabling, Wi-Fi, or end-user computing, with the ability to apply that knowledge across various equipment and vendors.
- A bachelor's degree is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+ Certification.
- CCST or CCNA Certifications.
- BICSI Certification.
- ECSE Certification.
Travel Requirements:
- Approximately 10% travel may be required.
