Job Title: Pharmacy Technical Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at Smoky Lake Pharmacy and Integrated Healthcare.

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technical Assistant will provide administrative and technical support to our pharmacy team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities
  • Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness
  • Enter client information into our database system
  • Prepare medications for clients, adhering to strict quality control standards
  • Take body or limb measurements of patients as required
  • Process third-party insurance claims
  • Maintain accurate inventories of medications and prescription records
Requirements
  • College or CEGEP education
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a pharmacy setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
Work Environment

This is a permanent position working 32-40 hours per week in a rural area pharmacy or drugstore setting.
