Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Desk Supervisor to join our team at Holiday Inn Montréal Centre-Ville. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing front desk operations, and supervising a team of front desk clerks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Front Desk Operations: Manage the front desk, including check-in, check-out, and room assignments.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and train front desk clerks, ensuring they provide excellent customer service and adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory of hotel supplies and materials.
  • Logbook and Feedback: Review the front office logbook and guest feedback forms daily to identify areas for improvement.
  • Travel Agent Bookings: Enter all travel agent bookings received by the hotel.
  • Shift Management: Ensure that the schedule is properly made for the next 2 days and perform daily tasks required according to the shift.
  • Incident Management: Act as Duty Manager during the evening shift, take initiative on incidents in other departments, respond to customer inquiries, and handle complaints.
  • Emergency Procedures: Know in-depth all emergency procedures in case of fire or any other major incident.
Requirements
  • Education: DEC in hotel management or other related field.
  • Experience: Relevant experience (2 years or more) in a supervisory role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Skills: Proven customer service skills, skills for human resources management, conflict management, supervision, teamwork, autonomy, dynamism, communication, work under pressure, and initiative.
  • Language: Bilingualism (French/English), knowledge of a third language is an asset.
  • Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Opera software or other systems, Microsoft Windows, and Holidex plus.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule: 8 hours, Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed.
  • Shifts: Day Shift, Night Shift, Evening Shift, and Morning Shift.
