Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Truck Repairer to join our team at Red Seal Truck and Equipment Repair. As an Industrial Truck Repairer, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining industrial trucks and forklifts, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Repair Costs: Accurately assess the cost of repairs and provide estimates to customers.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance and Service: Regularly inspect and maintain industrial trucks and forklifts to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Advise Customers on Work Performed and Condition of Equipment: Provide customers with detailed information on the work performed and the condition of their equipment.
  • Repair and Rebuild Hoisting Mechanisms and Other Mechanical Systems: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with industrial trucks and forklifts.
  • Test and Adjust Repaired Equipment for Proper Performance: Thoroughly test and adjust repaired equipment to ensure it meets safety and performance standards.
Work Environment

As an Industrial Truck Repairer, you will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with exposure to:

  • Noisy: Work in a noisy environment with machinery and equipment.
  • Dusty: Work in a dusty environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Odours: Work in an environment with potential exposure to strong odours.
Requirements
  • Manual Dexterity: Possess excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
Education and Experience

We require a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
