Key Responsibilities- Estimate Repair Costs: Accurately assess the cost of repairs and provide detailed estimates to customers.
- Perform Scheduled Maintenance and Service: Regularly inspect and maintain industrial trucks and forklifts to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Advise Customers on Work Performed and Condition of Equipment: Provide clear and concise information to customers regarding the work performed and the condition of their equipment.
- Repair and Rebuild Hoisting Mechanism and Other Mechanical Systems: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with industrial trucks and forklifts, including hoisting mechanisms and other critical systems.
- Test and Adjust Repaired Equipment for Proper Performance: Thoroughly test and adjust repaired equipment to ensure it meets safety and performance standards.
As an Industrial Truck Repairer, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will be exposed to various work site environments, including:
- Noisy: You will work in areas with high noise levels, requiring the use of personal protective equipment.
- Dusty: You will be exposed to dust and other airborne particles, requiring regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
- Odours: You will be exposed to strong odours from chemicals, fuels, and other substances.
- Manual Dexterity: You will need to perform intricate tasks requiring manual dexterity, such as repairing complex mechanical systems.
- Attention to Detail: You will need to maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnoses and repairs.
- Hand-Eye Coordination: You will need to coordinate hand and eye movements to perform tasks such as welding and assembly.
- Bending, Crouching, Kneeling: You will need to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling, such as inspecting and repairing equipment.
- Handling Heavy Loads: You will need to lift and move heavy equipment and parts, requiring physical strength and endurance.
- Physically Demanding: The role requires a high level of physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting.
- Team Player: You will work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
