About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Mechanic to join our team at Desharnais pneus et mécanique. As a Diesel Engine Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect diesel engines to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
  • Adjust and repair or replace defective engine parts
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Perform welding and other maintenance work
  • Test repaired engines for proper performance
  • Clean and lubricate engines and perform other maintenance tasks
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
Requirements
  • Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certificate
  • 5 years or more of experience in diesel engine repair
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
