About the Role

Aon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Actuarial Associate to join our team. As an Actuarial Associate, you will play a key role in delivering innovative and effective solutions to our clients, supporting our pension consulting team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consulting services and technical support to various clients;
  • Produce and review pension-specific calculations, such as actuarial valuations, improvement studies and projections;
  • Review of pension-specific benefit calculations according to the standards and procedures established in the case of termination of service, retirement, death, or marriage breakdown;
  • Preparation of annual reports, financial reports and statements for participants according to established standards and procedures;
  • Prepare reports and letters and participate in other projects in the field;
  • Take part in developing effective oral presentations for existing and potential clients, individually or in collaboration with team members; in business development activities as well as in the management of accounts and client projects.
  • Participate in the development of IT tools to improve productivity.
Requirements
  • Relevant professional experience of 3 to 4 years;
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint);
  • React quickly and efficiently to a changing work environment, priorities and situations;
  • Show the ability to prioritize and efficiently balance multiple demands in an environment with tight deadlines;
  • Demonstrate applied learning by continually improving their own contribution, as well as demonstrating team spirit;
  • Ability to quickly identify problems, opportunities and alternatives;
  • Demonstrate logical and efficient behaviour with attention to detail;
  • Generate creative approaches for operational improvement and thinks creatively;
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance or Business Administration; or years of equivalent work experience in a relevant sector.
  • Have begun and aspire to complete and pass the courses, examinations and work experience requirements for Fellowship in the Canadian Institute of Actuaries
