Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Fleet Operations Manager to join our team at AL AZLAAN LOGISTICS INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating daily operations, monitoring department performance, and planning and organizing daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Monitor department performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Plan and organize daily operations to meet business objectives
  • Manage finances or budget to ensure optimal resource allocation
  • Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods
  • Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods
  • Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
  • Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience, or equivalent experience

Work Environment:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • English language
