About the Opportunity

Rocky View Schools is seeking highly motivated and reliable individuals to fill on-call, casual positions as Caretaker I for the school year. As a Caretaker I, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the maintenance and upkeep of our schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
  • Keep assigned sidewalks, steps, and entrances free from ice and snow
  • Perform building security checks as scheduled by the Head Building Operator
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors
Requirements
  • Previous cleaning experience is considered an asset
  • Certifications from cleaning organizations are considered an asset
  • Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
