Job Summary

The Inventory Management Analyst is a key role within the Supply Chain team at Septodont Cambridge. This position is responsible for monitoring and analyzing inventory levels, identifying trends, and making recommendations to optimize inventory management. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy and raw material availability to meet production demands.

Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate and distribute inventory resources to various locations and departments to promote efficient storage, organization, and use of materials.
  2. Analyze inventory expiry health and flag near expiry/retest items to relevant teams for action.
  3. Ensure optimal and accurate inventory movement and availability across storage sites.
  4. Manage the release of materials process, maximizing inventory availability.
  5. Trigger stock adjustments and replenishment flags based on non-consumption inventory changes.
  6. Identify inventory losses, overages, and shortages by documenting and evaluating inventory reports and drawing conclusions to improve inventory systems.
  7. Perform calculations and analyses to track and update inventory data and statistics.
  8. Proactively identify key risks to future supply chain needs and propose and drive necessary changes to address them.
  9. Develop and drive operational excellence/continuous improvement.
  10. Manage and run cycle counts and inventory obsolescence reports.
  11. Liaise with and maintain effective relationships with operational departments.
  12. Develop pro-active measures to minimize low inventory issues and out of stock situations at the warehouse level.
  13. Identify and investigate inventory reduction opportunities.
  14. Maintain and improve the company's inventory needs by analyzing statistics.
  15. Prepare inventory reports and analysis as required.
  16. Assist with inventory forecasting.
  17. Assist with specific projects as requested for supply chain demands.
  18. Observe and support all safety guidelines and regulations.
  19. Follow GMP and regulatory requirements, and ensure quality standards are met.
  20. Model the Company Missions, Vision and Values Statements, policies, and current standards business practices.
  21. Perform other related duties and/or special projects as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of inventory analysis experience.
  • Advanced excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory and logistics control within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Relevant experience using ERP systems, including all different inventory transactions.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage projects and multiple priorities with minimal direction.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to work within interdepartmental teams.
  • Reliable and trustworthy, with a self-starter mentality.
  • Excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills.
