About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Buyer to join our team at 2287645 Alberta Ltd. as a key member of our retail operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the retail industry.
  • Product Sourcing and Procurement: Source and procure high-quality products from suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and competitive pricing.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and maintain accurate records to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices, discounts, and credit terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Merchandise Planning and Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute merchandise plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Category Management: Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for category growth and optimization.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and analysis to stakeholders, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations for business improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail or related environment.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with experience in spreadsheet analysis and data visualization.
