Job Title: Ethnic Food Cook

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Peking House. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of ethnic dishes to the highest standards.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Cantonese cuisine and be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will be responsible for planning menus, estimating food requirements, and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for the realization of ethnic dishes
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Strong background in Cantonese cuisine
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
