Job Summary

Flex-N-Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Millwright to join our team at our Bradford facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and assemble machinery using hand and power tools.
  • Relocate equipment and position machinery for assembly.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures.
  • Dismantle machines using hand or power tools.
  • Construct foundations for new equipment using building materials.
  • Align machines and equipment during installation.
  • Use a lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts.
  • Assemble machinery and equipment according to vendor manuals and specifications.
  • Repair problems associated with new equipment.
  • Fabricate new machine parts if original parts are missing or damaged.
  • Identify and correct problems found in machines, equipment, or processes.

Requirements

  • Industrial Millwright Certification 433A.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Industry (Automotive experience an asset).
  • Basic Electrical Knowledge.
  • Ability to detect, isolate, and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
  • Able to fabricate new parts to replace defective parts during machine setup, maintenance, or overhaul.
  • Thorough knowledge of load bearing capabilities of the equipment to be installed, assembled, or dismembered.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Ability to weld and operate all shop equipment and perform basic machining practices.
  • Working knowledge of progressive and transfer die protection.
  • Working knowledge of in-house hydraulics and mortgaged written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Ability to work - 3 Rotation shift.
