Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced tow truck driver to join our team at Roadway Towing Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient towing and recovery services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate costs and repair vehicles: You will be responsible for calculating the cost of truck repairs and new parts if needed, ensuring that our customers receive accurate and transparent estimates.
  • Provide exceptional customer service: You will address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that our customers feel valued and respected.
  • Drive and maintain vehicles: You will drive lighter, special purpose trucks and oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure that our vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
  • Perform roadside repairs: You will perform emergency roadside repairs, using your skills and experience to quickly and safely resolve issues and get our customers back on the road.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicles: You will perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring that our vehicles are in good working order and that all aspects of vehicle maintenance are overseen.
  • Communicate with dispatch: You will receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring that our team is informed and up-to-date on all aspects of vehicle operations.
Requirements
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence: You will require a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) to operate our vehicles.
  • Class 3/3F/DF Licence: You will also require a valid Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles) to operate our vehicles.
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence: You will require a valid Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles) to operate our vehicles.
  • Excellent communication skills: You will require excellent written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and dispatch.
