We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Disability Management Professional to join our team at Providence Healthcare. As a key member of our Occupational Health department, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our Duty to Accommodate-Disability Management and Disability and Attendance Management teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and supervision to team members, ensuring effective service delivery and adherence to established processes and procedures.
- Facilitate resolutions to work issues and assess and monitor resource allocation within the team.
- Develop and implement Disability Management programs and policies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with the Director, Occupational Health to identify and develop goals and objectives for the Duty to Accommodate-Disability Management Advisors and Coordinator, Disability and Attendance Management team.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to line management and the HR team on disability management, medical case management, and duty to accommodate processes.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including unions, other health authorities, and government agencies.
- Develop and implement occupational health training and developmental programs to meet organizational objectives.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- A Master's Degree in disability management or a relevant health care field.
- Seven (7) years recent, related experience as a senior Disability Management Professional, preferably in a health care setting, in a large complex unionized environment.
- Certification as a Disability Management Professional is an asset.
