We currently have an opening for a part-time Registered Orthopedic Technician in the Fracture Clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support orthopedic, plastic, emergency, and family physicians in the care and management of their patients.
  • Assist both inpatients and outpatients with cast applications, splinting, and sterile procedures, including patient education, suture removal, dressing changes, and pin/screw removals.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Required Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of the Canadian Society of Orthopedic Technologists examination (written, oral, practical components).
  • Current registration with the Canadian Society of Orthopedic Technologists (C.S.O.T.).
  • Commitment to ongoing education as mandated by the Certification Board of the C.S.O.T.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to mentor ortho technicians.
  • High initiative and self-direction, along with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of proper aseptic techniques.
  • Strong problem recognition and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective time management skills; ability to prioritize and organize work.
  • Recent experience in orthopedic or fracture room settings is preferred.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with rapid turnover and competing priorities.
  • Collaboration in a team environment is essential.
  • Must perform duties efficiently with limited supervision.
  • Good attendance record.
