Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team as a Pediatric Nurse Specialist. In this role, you will work with patients of pediatric ages with differing complexity of care needs and play a key role in helping patients remain comfortable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in scheduled visits in the community to look after patient needs within your scope of practice.
- Provide ethical and safe nursing care to patients of pediatric ages.
- Use appropriate assessment tools/techniques to assess patients' individual needs and execute and continuously monitor care plans and adjust as required.
- Engage patients using a collaborative approach by building rapport and trust, and maintain and update professional patient records related to patient encounters and plans.
Requirements:
- Registration with the CNO as a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is required.
- Pediatric experience is mandatory.
- Experience in delivering community care is an asset.
- Reliability and flexibility, willingness to travel to and from patient residences within a designated area, and experience working with the vulnerable population are essential.
- Passion for making a difference in your community and required on-call coverage, including after hours to ensure patient safety and to meet patient care needs.
