Drive Revenue Growth and Enhance Brand Visibility

The WNBA Toronto Team is seeking a highly skilled Director of Partnerships Strategy to develop and execute innovative partnership strategies that drive revenue growth and enhance the team's brand visibility.

This role involves working closely with key stakeholders, including corporate partners, sponsors, and community organizations, to create and manage high-impact partnerships that align with the team's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive partnership strategies to achieve revenue targets and enhance brand positioning.
  • Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities, including corporate sponsorships, community engagements, and strategic alliances.
  • Oversee the negotiation, execution, and management of partnership agreements to ensure mutual success and satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights that inform partnership strategies.
  • Develop and maintain reports on partnership performance, including ROI, engagement metrics, and other key indicators.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior management to inform decision-making and strategic direction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • ~10+ years proven experience in partnership development, sponsorship management, or business development, preferably in the sports or entertainment industry.
  • Strong understanding of partnership strategies, contract negotiations, and revenue generation.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
