The **Environmental Program Analyst** will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the flow of Hazardous and Special Products (HSP)/Blue Box across Ontario to recycling facilities. This role is essential in fostering and maintaining robust relationships with our vendors. It demands a combination of analytical skills, logistical knowledge, vendor management, and environmental insight, making it an excellent opportunity for those passionate about sustainability and eager to effect positive change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the inbound and outbound material flows for various Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs in Ontario.
  • Gather and analyze data trends related to EPR program volumes, including material logistics, to inform decisions regarding transportation and recycling needs across the province.
  • Conduct quality assurance on daily vendor reports to ensure accurate tracking and contact service providers for any missing information.
  • Address inquiries from service providers related to the Ryse online portal.
  • Evaluate business processes and data workflows, identifying improvement opportunities to align with organizational objectives.
  • Create detailed documentation, including business requirements, data flow diagrams, and data mapping, to facilitate clear communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather data, user requirements, and project objectives.
  • Document service issues and suggest corrective actions as necessary.
  • Participate in meetings and track action items that arise.
  • Prepare internal monthly performance reports.
  • Coordinate the development of external quarterly and annual reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation.
  • Assist internal teams with ad-hoc reporting needs.
  • Monitor updates from the Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority (RPRA) and communicate relevant information to internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and communicate shipping schedules to designated processors/recyclers.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new recyclers and service providers.
  • Resolve any disputes that may arise between trucking companies and recyclers/processors.
  • Manage the vendor qualification process.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with collection sites and other service providers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, business analytics, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in business/data analytics, mapping, and relevant project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of business process optimization and workflow analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and remain goal-oriented.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable and capable of thriving in a dynamic project setting.
  • At least 3 years of proven project management experience, particularly in fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
