Dean of Programs and Curriculum

The University of Fredericton is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Dean of Programs and Curriculum. This pivotal academic leadership role is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the institution's educational programs and curricular offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, evaluation, and enhancement of academic programs to ensure rigorous standards and alignment with institutional goals.
  • Foster collaboration and synergies between different programs to enhance the overall academic experience.
  • Oversee the review and assessment of curricula to ensure they meet high standards of quality and relevance.
  • Collaborate with faculty to integrate industry trends and best practices into the curriculum.
  • Participate in strategic planning processes and contribute to the development of academic policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that academic initiatives are aligned with UFred's mission, vision, and strategic goals.
Faculty Support and Development
  • Provide leadership and support to faculty in curriculum development and instructional innovation.
  • Offer professional development opportunities related to teaching, assessment, and academic leadership.
  • Promote an inclusive and collaborative academic environment.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Monitor trends in higher education and recommend strategies to enhance UFred's academic offerings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, accrediting bodies, and other external stakeholders.
  • Represent UFred at academic conferences, meetings, and other relevant events.
  • Promote UFred's academic programs to prospective students and partners.
