Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

The primary focus of this position is to assist the Risk Management team and action owners in the effective planning, oversight, and reporting of risk mitigation strategies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the Risk Lead to prioritize and strategize communication with risk and action owners based on urgency, significance, and reporting timelines.
  • Evaluating the Risk Management frameworks, procedures, and templates, ensuring compliance to maintain a uniform approach throughout the process.
  • Partnering with Risk and Mitigation Action owners to formulate, execute, monitor, assess, and report on risk response strategies.
  • Supporting the management of Program Level risks, including precise evaluation of cost and schedule implications, ensuring risks are accurately allocated to the appropriate senior representatives.
  • Assisting the Program Risk team by conducting monthly assessments of program-level risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Providing support to senior representatives in identifying and managing risk and mitigation actions.
  • Contributing to the Risk Management team by supplying inputs for ongoing Risk reporting using established formats and templates as per defined plans and processes.
  • Fostering and maintaining relationships with senior-level clients.
  • Identifying and escalating Program level risks and challenges that could affect delivery.
  • Evaluating and aiding in the development of best practice Program risk policies, processes, and procedures in alignment with the agreed Program delivery strategy, under the guidance of the Program Risk Lead.
  • Encouraging collaboration and relationship building.

Technical Management Expertise

  • Proficient in identifying and analyzing Project, Program, and Business risks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction technology, planning, execution, and site logistics.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial strategies.
  • Skilled in monitoring and reporting Program-level progress and ensuring efficient resource utilization across the program.
  • Familiarity with various Contract, Commercial, and Governance procedures.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities to maintain accurate data and reporting both internally and externally.
  • Recognizes opportunities for innovation or enhancements in existing practices.

Key Experience/Other Mandatory Qualifications

  • Strong leadership skills at the program manager level to motivate and manage teams delivering high-risk, complex projects/programs.
  • Extensive knowledge of planning and project management methodologies.
  • Thorough understanding of risk management tools and techniques.
  • Awareness of safety considerations in an operational/project delivery context.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of contractual matters in a project setting.
  • Degree or equivalent with professional experience in one or more specific disciplines within Program, Project, or Commercial Management.
