A subsidiary of Bird, Innovative Trenching Solutions Ltd. (ITS) specializes in Pipeline Construction, Utility Construction, Wind Farm Construction, and Electrical & Fiber Optic Cable Management across Canada and the United States. With a sustained focus on Renewable Energy & Telecommunication Projects, we are looking for individuals eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our expansion.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Project Manager will operate remotely to support ongoing projects with opportunities for regular travel to our construction sites across North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with Owners, Consulting Engineers, and Subcontractors.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of the overall work plan and schedule.
  • Client & Company Reporting.
  • Evaluate site instructions, work orders, and change notices.
  • Review and process drawings, specifications & codes.
  • Coordinate manpower, material, and equipment requirements.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly productivity and cost tracking.
  • Develop cost estimates for new construction, change orders, and audit purposes.
  • Support quality assurance and management of client expectations.
  • Prepare monthly progress applications and expedite payments.
  • Facilitate document turnover to clients upon project completion.
  • Identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Provide additional technical office support as required by production personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining project files and preparing reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Environmental) or certification as a Certified Engineering Technologist.
  • 3+ years of experience in construction and/or general contracting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving systems, technology, and procedures.
  • Detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and a positive team player.
  • Strong organizational and analytical capabilities.
  • Flexible and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously; able to meet the demands of unpredictable activities; adept at handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills; proactive and creative.
  • Demonstrates urgency and a strong commitment to achieving goals; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build, nurture, and maintain positive relationships with various groups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to conduct regular business travel to construction sites across North America.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
The successful candidate must complete and clear a post-offer criminal background check as a condition of employment.
