Job Summary

The North York General Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Resident Care Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Nursing and Personal Care Services, Seniors' Health Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, working collaboratively with nursing personnel to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assist nursing personnel with various tasks, such as feeding, transferring, and positioning residents, as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance knowledge and skills in providing high-quality care.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of excellence and respect.

Requirements

  • Completed Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate from a College of Applied Arts and Technology.
  • Long-term care experience, preferred.
  • Skilled in Point of Care (POC), preferred.
  • Bilingualism in French/English, an asset.
