Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated educator to join our team as a Middle and Senior School Educator. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and leading in a dynamic and visionary IB school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and lead in a collaborative and student-centered environment
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote growth mindsets and lifelong learning
  • Model and promote the Brockton Portrait of the Graduate and the IB Learner Profile
  • Work collaboratively with the Brockton team to understand and implement the requirements of the BC Ministry of Education and IB Programmes
  • Cultivate a learning environment that recognizes each student as unique and promotes authentic and professional connections
  • Embrace high standards of professional conduct and professional excellence
  • Communicate and respond appropriately with students, parents, and other community members
  • Support and work alongside colleagues in individual and collective work
Qualifications
  • BC Teacher Certification (Teachers Regulation Branch) in the form of a Certificate of Qualification (CoQ) or Independent School Teaching Certificate (ISTC)
  • Post-secondary degree/coursework in respective discipline
  • 3-5 years of successful teaching/experience in the field(s)
  • DP/CP and MYP teaching experience or Advanced Placement experience is an asset (where applicable)
