About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and innovative Teacher to join our Senior School team at York House School. As a Teacher on Call, you will be responsible for teaching a wide range of subjects, including Math, Social Studies, English, Science, Languages (French/Spanish), Physical Education, Art, and Drama, to students in Grades 8-12.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education
  • British Columbia Teachers certification or equivalent
  • Familiarity with new BC Curriculum is an asset
  • Secondary school qualifications
  • Minimum of one year Secondary teaching experience preferred
  • Independent School experience is an asset
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in education
