About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Process Engineer to join our team at BBA Consultants. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and strengthening client relationships, contributing to proposals, engineering, technology selection, and project delivery for plant services, including biofuels manufacturing processes, carbon capture and utilization, green hydrogen, water treatment, liquefied natural gas, specialty chemicals, lithium processing, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare simple plans and basic calculations
  • Apply established design and calculation methods
  • Develop mass and energy balances using simulation software
  • Select and size process equipment
  • Draft specifications, process design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, plant layouts, technical specifications, and assessments as well as reports
  • Participate in various work phases at the office, on site, or in a lab
  • Prepare proposals
  • Participate in the firm's development and growth
  • Carry out commissioning and equipment performance testing
  • Perform routine inspections or technical surveys
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
  • From 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in the Advanced Fuels and Chemicals or Oil and Gas industry
  • Preferably registered, or eligible to register, with PEO as an EIT
  • Basic knowledge of process simulation
  • Sound knowledge of statistics and effective analytical skills
  • Excellent knowledge of fluid mechanics and heat transfer
  • Interest in and knowledge of process control
  • Interest in the environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent spoken and written communication
