Job Title: Food Engineer

We are seeking a highly qualified Food Engineer to join our team at Université Laval. As a professor in the department of soil science and agrifood engineering, you will be responsible for developing and teaching courses on food engineering and bioprocess engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and teach courses on food engineering and bioprocess engineering
  • Conduct original research in food engineering and bioprocess engineering
  • Supervise and co-supervise Masters and Ph.D. students
  • Participate in the supervision of undergraduate students
  • Contribute to the promotion of research activities in food engineering and bioprocess engineering
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in food engineering, chemical engineering, process engineering, bioprocess engineering, bioresource engineering, or a related field
  • Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or an Order of engineering of Canada
  • Relevant work experience in food engineering, food bioprocess engineering, bio-fermentation, bioreactors, biosensors, or enzymology
  • Ability to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in French
  • Postdoctoral fellowship or proven experience in academic and/or industrial research
