Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic Specialist to join our team at Marathon Underground Constructors Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, inspect, and diagnose complex machinery and components, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, to resolve moderate to severe problems.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, repair, and replacement of components, as well as adjustments to mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Conduct servicing tasks, including fluid checks, sample pulling, oil and filter checks, lubricant changes, and filter replacements, as directed.
  • Verify completion of all work instructions and submit accurate and timely reports and technical documentation.
  • Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with company policy.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic or heavy equipment technician.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, component exchange, and repair.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings.
  • Effective communication skills to convey detailed information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Personal set of necessary tools.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
