Key Responsibilities:
  • Flying fixed-wing aircrafts or helicopters
  • Following emergency procedures to compensate for equipment malfunction or failure
  • Monitoring operation of engine and aircraft systems during flight
  • Recording equipment malfunctions and corrective actions taken during flight
  • Reporting required repairs to ground maintenance personnel
  • Conducting in-flight tests and monitoring functioning of aircraft equipment and systems during flights
  • Conducting pre-flight inspection of aircraft and checking passenger and cargo distribution to ensure that weight and balance specifications are met
  • Contacting control towers for takeoff clearances, arrival instructions, and other information
  • Maintaining communications with flight dispatchers and weather forecasters and responding to and reporting in-flight emergencies and malfunctions
  • Preparing flight evaluation reports
Requirements:
  • Commercial Pilot Licence - rotors
  • Airline Pilot Transport Licence - rotors
  • Flight instrument rating
  • Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Licence
  • Visual Flight Rating
  • Multi-instrument Flight Rating
  • Criminal record check
  • Airport security clearance
  • Medical exam
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willing to travel cross-border
Work Environment:

The work environment will be physically demanding, requiring attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. Overtime may be required, and the ability to distinguish between colours is necessary.
