Position Overview
This position reports to the Junior Associate Director, BPO and encompasses a range of responsibilities including the preparation of performance metrics and statistical analysis, review of regulatory and NAV documentation produced by third-party administrators, and utilization of various Investment Manager tools for enhanced investor communication. This role integrates directly with the Investment Manager system framework, allowing you to collaborate closely with their team and gain valuable insights into back-office operations from the Investment Manager's viewpoint. Key responsibilities include:
- Assess and validate administrator NAV Calculations for precision and thoroughness, and coordinate with the administrator to address any discrepancies.
- Compute fund management and incentive fees in accordance with the fund's legal framework.
- Scrutinize Investor Reports prior to their dissemination to stakeholders.
- Oversee fund allocation activities, including managing investor distributions, capital calls, annual audited financial statement reviews, and responding to ad hoc inquiries from investors.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure the accurate and timely management of funds.
- Generate additional reports as necessary to meet both internal and external obligations.
- Mentor new team members (in-person or remotely) on established and new processes.
Candidate Profile
We seek an individual with proven experience in fund accounting who is eager to expand their expertise in a Business Process Outsourcing environment. Strong communication abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential, along with a solid understanding of accounting principles. Additional qualifications include:
- Experience in fund accounting for alternative investment vehicles
- Client-facing experience with demonstrated relationship management capabilities
- Ability to work autonomously
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional designations such as CPA/CFA (or in progress) are advantageous
