This position involves close collaboration with traders, legal teams, risk management, clients, and terminal operations to effectively coordinate product shipments in terms of timing, batching, and sequencing. The primary objective is to facilitate the efficient movement of commodities while minimizing transportation expenses and preserving product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the scheduling of pipeline oil volumes and manage all necessary logistics.
  • Coordinate and manage volumes from various receipt points, ensuring seamless deliveries with downstream carriers.
  • Establish and maintain robust relationships with shippers, producers, and other midstream or end-use companies.
  • Enhance scheduling methodologies to optimize resource utilization, inventory levels, and reduce transportation costs.
  • Facilitate communication among terminals, risk management, trading, and marine operations regarding inventory and operational matters.
  • Support trading and business development efforts in identifying and pursuing growth opportunities.
  • Nominate and clear vessels with third parties for export shipments, collaborating with shipping teams on blending and sampling processes.
  • Calculate and finalize pricing in partnership with counterparties to resolve post-trade issues.
  • Address operational claims and documentation, including managing demurrage risks.
  • Prepare and reconcile invoices as required, ensuring accuracy in final billing.
  • Collaborate with back-office teams to effectively manage the settlement process with third parties, including inspection invoices related to cargoes.
  • Provide support to fellow operators and coordinate with internal teams to complete all necessary tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in commodities scheduling and relevant supply chain and trading roles.
  • Experience in refinery planning and operations is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to foster positive relationships and teamwork.
  • Experience in contract creation and review, with a solid understanding of Incoterms.
  • Confidence in working with international trade finance, including familiarity with financial instruments, letters of credit, and credit risk management.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
