Position Overview

Nature's Edge Design Build Landscapes Inc. is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Landscape Maintenance Specialist. This permanent position requires a commitment to maintaining outdoor spaces in various environments.

Job Details
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Training will be provided
Work Environment
  • Outdoor settings, including heights and potentially wet or noisy conditions
  • Work may involve physically demanding tasks
Work Setting
  • Responsibilities include working in various locations, including residential and urban areas
  • Tasks will be performed at client properties and landscape sites
  • Relocation costs are not covered by the employer
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in landscape construction projects
  • Perform weeding, pruning, and trimming of trees and plants
  • Maintain cleanliness by cutting grass and removing debris
  • Transport and distribute topsoil and other materials
  • Plant sod, seeds, bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees
  • Water and care for plants, lawns, and gardens
  • Operate and maintain various landscape maintenance equipment
Qualifications
  • Equipment Experience: Familiarity with chain saws, roto-tillers, small engine equipment, sod cutters, sprayers, tractor mowers, and weed trimmers/edgers
  • Work Experience: Background in cleaning and snow removal is beneficial
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work under pressure, perform repetitive tasks, and handle heavy loads
  • Tools and Equipment: Must have personal tools and safety gear, including steel-toed boots, hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves
  • Personal Attributes: Flexibility, reliability, teamwork, strong work ethic, and maturity are essential
