AWS Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting technical solutions that automate complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop automated solutions to complex problems using Ansible and other automation tools.
  2. Provide input to automation policy, standards, and processes to ensure compliance with SLF security directives and policies.
  3. Promote re-use and adoption of solutions across teams through demos and coaching.
  4. Ensure all automations are compliant with security and change management directives.
  5. Create automation playbooks and companion documentation to help the team understand the logic and contents of automated tasks.
  6. Identify opportunities for automation and guide on effective ways to implement.
  7. Educate others on the use of automation tools and best practices.
Requirements:
  1. 3-5 years' experience in automation development, with a focus on Ansible.
  2. Hands-on experience using automation tools such as Ansible, scripting, and Python.
  3. Hands-on coding experience in Java is a plus.
  4. Hands-on experience working in containers/Kubernetes.
  5. Experience and understanding of monitoring and log ingestion tools.
  6. Solid business and technical acumen, with demonstrated agility in learning and ability to become comfortable with unfamiliar business areas or technologies.
  7. Strong relationship management and consulting skills.
  8. Solid written and verbal communication skills.
